The GDPRD Secretariat is pleased to introduce Federica de Gaetano of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) as our new Co-Chair effective 29 May 2024.
Federica joins Bruce Campbell of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in chairing the Donor Platform Board for the term 2024-26.

Federica de Gaetano joined theย Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2020 as Food Security Project Officer within the Food Security and Rural Development Department. In her current role, she is the focal point for food security, providing significant contributions to international and European Union working groups, including the G7, EU Commission, Agroecology UN Coalition and Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (GDPRD). Federica manages international cooperation initiatives in the fields of food and nutrition security, sustainable agriculture, and rural development.
She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Federico II University of Naples and a II Level Master in Food Law (LLM) from 'Carlo Luiss' University in Rome (Italy). Prior to joining AICS, Federica worked for 10 years as Food Safety Expert at the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Alimentary and Forest Politics (MASAF) and as Scientific Expert for 7 years at the European Commission โ DG SANCO /DG GROW โ unit on consumer safety, focusing on risk assessment/risk management, and monitoring and evaluation of data.
