Background
This year’s AGA theme, “Financing Food Systems Transformation and Rural Revitalization: Opportunities and Challenges”, will focus on how the international community is rethinking how to best use the limited official development assistance (ODA) in food and nutrition, in particular using innovative financing, better coordination of donor approaches, and stronger harmonization of stakeholder engagement.
The AGA will build on the recommendations of the 2024 State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI) report for donors, and the urgent need to bridge financing gaps for food systems.
The two days will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking and convening, and timely discussions on rural development and will include reflections on the implications of innovative financing for rural youth employment and land governance.
Read the AGA concept note for more information. Speaker names will be updated in due course.
