FAO: Empowering Youth to End Child Labour in Agriculture

16 October 2024 | 16:00-17:00 CEST

Child labour affects 160 million boys and girls globally. Most of these children work in agriculture, often in hazardous conditions, missing out on education and a safe childhood. To learn about effective solutions to this pressing human right issue, join us at the World Food Forum side-event on "Empowering youth to end child labour in Agriculture."

Global experts and youth leaders will share innovative strategies and community-driven approaches that promote sustainable, child-labour-free agricultural practices, facilitate school-to-work transition and empower young people, enabling them to become agents of change.

This will be also an opportunity to learn about the FAO Child Labour in Agriculture Prevention Facility (CLAP Facility), a multi-partner program focused on eradicating child labour in agriculture.

Tune in on the 16th of October at 16.00-17.00 Rome Time or join the event in presence in the Philippines Room (FAO Headquarters, C Building, 2nd floor โ€“ย  room C277/281)
