The 2nd United Nations Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4) will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from July 28-30, 2025. Building on the momentum of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit and the first Stocktaking Moment in 2023 (UNFSS+2), this event will focus on accelerating sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems transformation. Hosted by Ethiopia, with Italy as a co-host, UNFSS+4 will provide a platform for progress and accountability as the global community works toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
UNFSS+4 will document progress, strengthen accountability, and unlock investments for transformative action. It will showcase successful country-level transformations, highlight innovative practices, and address challenges in fragile and conflict-affected settings. By bringing together state and non-state actors, the summit will foster mutual accountability, explore financing innovations, and leverage public-private partnerships. This inclusive and participatory event is set to be a milestone for advancing food systems transformation and accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
