This year's theme is "Housing the World: Safe and resilient cities and communities". Held every two years, the World Urban Forum is the premier global conference on urbanization convened by UN-Habitat, bringing together a wide range of urban stakeholders to explore solutions to the growing global housing crisis and to position housing as a foundation for safe and resilient cities and communities.

24-28 February 2026 | Cartagena De Indias, Colombia | ICARRD+20 gathers global leaders, communities, and scholars to renew the international agenda on land justice, agrarian reform, and rural development.

20-24 April 2026 | UN HQ, New York | A central pillar of the Financing for Development process, the Forum builds on the momentum generated by the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development held in June 2025. This year’s Forum carries particular significance, serving as a key platform for advancing concrete outcomes and sustaining political momentum from FFD4.

25-28 May 2026 | FAO Headquarters, Rome & Online. Under the overarching theme “Shaping the Future of Joint Nutrition Action in a Changing World,” the 2026 edition will focus on strengthening joint approaches, enhancing coordination, and identifying practical pathways to accelerate nutrition progress in a rapidly evolving global context.

29-30 June 2026 | Hamburg, Germany. This year, the conference will focus on consolidating achievements and expanding its scope and outreach, recognizing the HSC’s unique role as a safe space for challenging conversations and unconventional exchanges. It will take place at a crucial moment for international co-operation.
