This report provides a snapshot of current approaches to fertiliser use in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
It identifies three fertilizer technologies (green ammonia, organic products, and biological products), which, if combined with more efficient fertilizer use, have the potential to support sustainable intensification. It also identifies opportunities for, and bottlenecks to, their large-scale adoption and highlights the role that governments, investors, donors, and private firms can play in accelerating progress in this space.
