Ward Anseeuw is the Senior Land Specialist at the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO). He also chairs the Donor Platform’s Global Donor Working Group on Land. Land rights matter and is central to all aspects related to food systems transformation and rural development.
Jo Puri is the Associate Vice-President of Strategy and Knowledge Department at IFAD and a close partner of the Donor Platform. Jo shares her vast experience and insight on all things data and how standard use of good data could be the game-changer in transforming food systems.
Nikita Eriksen-Hamel, Deputy Director of Agriculture and Food Systems for Global Affairs Canada, details the importance of a farming system that is both sustainable and capable of keeping up with our population growth. He highlights the need for donors to keep small-scale farmers in mind, as they are key to the wider development landscape. Nikita has been active in the Global Donor Platform for many years, and joins us from Ottawa, Canada.
